See what I made!!

So, last night I sat down and made this card.  I used a piece of fusing and ironed the scraps that I have collected to it then ironed that to the top of a piece of cardstock.  I always feel like something is missing or it can be better but overall I like it.  I am going to use it as a birthday card.  Today I think I am going to work on a box for a gift.  I have all these ideas in my head if you could see them somehow you would think I believed I was a great artist..lol.  Well I will take a picture of the box when it is finished and share it with you too.
I hope that I get some followers soon that will share their stuff too.
Oh...I think I will do some sewing on this card too.  Maybe outline some of the fabric just to add a bit more detail.

So, this is my first post on my first blog.  I have been considering this blog for sometime now but am a terrible procrastinator and kinda wanted to come up with a catchy title too.  Finally I decided to do it and called my niece who is very creative and awesome with words.  I asked her to help me come up with a creative title for my blog.  I explained to her that I wanted to have a blog for people like me, people who like to do arts and crafts but don't really feel artsy enough or creative enough to really do anything great but try anyway. 
I have so many arts and crafts supplies in my house that I see something cool in a magazine and think I can do it so I either have the supplies or head straight over to the craft store to get them.  Then I lay it all out and wait for inspiration to hit.  Sometimes it does and I actually come up with something pretty cool in the end. 
Anyway, we ended up talking about a little weekend getaway we are about to take and about the clothes we want to pack as well as the all the fun things we want to do while there.  And then finally ended our phone call.  Just before we hung up she said, "Well come up with something creative for your blog" ...and there you have it...it fits perfectly because my blog is for all of us who hope to come up with something creative when we sit down at our craft table. 
This is the place for each of us to encourage each other to go ahead and try it anyway...not to be afraid that it won't be good enough.  Who does it have to be good enough for anyway?  Think about it, do you enjoy doing it?  Personally I love it so that is what is important.  I enjoy trying new craft supplies and seeing what I can come up with.  It may not end up in a museum one day but hey, I have seen some things in art galleries and museums that were beyond me as to how they got there.  If an elephants paintings can get in an art gallery then who am I to say that my collage or quilted card is not good enough.  I say try it, have fun and share it with us.
